The sanctuary came from some reflections in the past year due to my own disconnection from other artists. I realized how much I wanted that in my life, and sought for a new template by which I might bring this about. These reflections led to the question of, how can I build the best space possible for myself and others.

Here’s what emerged:

1. Provide artists with a space that actively encourages them to be themselves; and where they are paid a living wage.
2. Establish a donor funded model, to allow for living wage provision
3. All funds go directly to artists, and maintenance of the space

Each event: $300 split evenly amongst 2-3 artists. Plus tips, sale of work, etc.
